NOTE: I have decided to use the spelling Malinda A. DENNIS because it
seems unlikely that tw o different census takers would spell her name
wrong - possible a mistake on the Marr. record s which is the only place
we have seen it spelled Belinda. A case in point - when Celia Jan e
HEATON m. 1850 Lathan EDWARDS in Greene Co, IL they gave her name as Jane
JUSTICE! No JUST ICE families in the area and we have her real name from
Bible pages, so, it appears that mist akes do happen even on legal
documents. Also have recently found out that her father had a s ister
named Malinda DENNIS - GFM
